The first work items of the 1st section Malick Sy - Patte d'Oie started since 29 July 2005. The works comprise: The reconstruction and extension of each of the two roadsides of the existing highway which will be transformed from two lanes to three lanes at the completion of the works. The construction of two interchanges: one at the Patte d'Oie intersection and another to replace the current Hann Bridge. The reconstruction of the Colobane Bridge. Developing different pedestrian passages The grouping formed by the Senegalese company Jean Lefèvre and the Henan Company -- People's Republic of China has been awarded the contract.
