QICEC is located in Qujiang New District in the southern suburb of Xi'an----the core of Xi'an future CBD. It covers an area of about 248 ha. with a total construction area of 1.05 million m2. Construction items include new exhibition halls, an international conference center, a conference and exhibition biz hotel, a five star hotel, office buildings, hotel-style apartments, business apartments, commercials, caterings, a logistic center, residential communities, squares and affiliated facilities. The construction will be finished in a period of 5 years with an estimated investment of 6 billion RMB. In March 2007 four newly-constructed exhibition halls, the harmony square as well as parking lots was been put into use covering a total area of 83 ha. Added the existing exhibition area of 16000 m2, QICEC can meet the demand for hosting meetings of different scales, exhibitions, business activities. Meanwhile the following phase of construction will be carried out. Once finished, QICEC will integrate different functions such as exhibitions, meetings, activities, hotels, commercials, caterings, apartments, entertainment and other affiliated functions.
